Start a shared household list
Create your household, add shopping items and keep shared and personal information separate.
Set up the household
Install Layo from the Google Play link on its product page and sign in. Create your household or join the one your family already uses. Check that everyone joins the same household rather than creating separate copies.
Make the first list useful
Start with a few items you need this week.
- Add an item with enough detail for another person to buy it.
- Ask another household member to open the shared list and check it appears.
- Mark purchased items as you shop so the household can see what remains.
Use shared expenses deliberately
Record what was spent and who paid when an expense belongs to the household. Choose personal visibility for expenses or reminders you do not want shared. Before adding sensitive details, check which household members can see the entry.
When you are at the market
Layo’s market status is a button you choose to press so the household knows to add anything needed. It is not automatic location tracking. Check your list before leaving and confirm changes are visible on the other person’s phone when connected.
