Zym

Delete your Zym account

You can delete your Zym account yourself in the app, or ask us to do it. Deleting cannot be undone.

In the app

  1. Open Zym and go to Profile (in the More tab).
  2. Scroll to Security and tap Delete account.
  3. Read what will be removed, confirm it is you, and type DELETE.

The account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

Without the app

Email info@nexotri.com with the subject “Delete my Zym account”. Write from the email on your account, or give the mobile number your account uses and the name of your gym. We confirm the request with you on that number before deleting anything, delete the account within 30 days — usually much sooner — and reply to tell you it is done.

What is deleted

  • Your name, mobile number and email address. The account is renamed “Deleted account” and can no longer sign in.
  • Your profile: date of birth, gender, address, occupation, blood group, photo, emergency contact, health declaration and notes, member number, app language, Google sign-in link, push-notification token, password and sign-in codes.
  • Your fitness goal, experience level, activity level, diet preference, target weight and injuries, and which floor trainer looks after you.
  • Your body measurements, fitness assessments, diet and workout plans, and what you logged against them.
  • Your attendance (check-ins), class bookings, notifications, reminders, membership hold requests, document records and invite records.
  • Personal-training sessions you had booked for the future are cancelled, so the trainer’s time is freed.

What is kept, without your name

  • Memberships, invoices and payments your gym recorded. The gym needs them as its financial records, so they stay — attached to “Deleted account”, not to you.
  • Personal-training sessions that already took place: they are the trainer’s record of work.
  • If you run a gym and paid for Zym plans: the record of each payment (plan, amount, date and Razorpay’s references), because it is our record of money received.
  • A line in our records saying that an account was deleted, with no name or number.
  • Copies in our database backups, which are deleted within 14 days.

Records your gym keeps about you outside your account — a trainer’s entry in the gym’s staff list, or a note from when you first asked about joining — belong to the gym. Ask the gym to remove them.

If you run a gym

Deleting an owner’s account deletes every gym that account owns, and everything recorded in them: fee plans, memberships, invoices and payments, attendance, staff, expenses, notices and the rest. Your members keep their own Zym accounts, but no longer have a membership at your gym. Your Zym subscription and the plan reminders we sent you are deleted too. The record of what you paid for Zym plans is kept without your name, as listed above, and Razorpay keeps its own record of those payments, as payment rules require.

If someone else is taking over the gym, write to info@nexotri.com before you delete — we can move the gym to them instead.
